Prepare for Easter: 40 Days of Bible Reading

Many people give up something for the 40 days leading up to Easter. This year, however, how about adding something more impactful to your daily routine – like reading larger portions of the Bible? Below are 4 plans to consider and the approximate time each plan will take (Click the plan for the associated PDF, which has the details):
Reading Through the Minor Prophets in 40 Days (Approx. 15 minutes daily)
Reading Through All 4 Gospels in 40 Days (Approx. 15 minutes daily)
Reading Through the Entire New Testament in 40 Days (Approx. 30 minutes daily)
Reading Through the Entire Bible in 40 Days (Approx. 2 hours daily – This can be split into two 1-hour sessions or four 30-minute sessions)
You can read the chapters, listen to the audio versions, or combine both. (Visit BibleGateway.com for audio resources). You could even try a different translation than you usually read to help engage more!
While faith in Christ alone saves us, engaging with Scripture helps us grow in our salvation. As the Psalmist beautifully wrote in Psalm 119:97, “Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.” Our love for our Lord Jesus should inspire us to spend time in his Word.
So why not consider taking this opportunity to dive deeper into the Scriptures starting today? You could even partner with someone (spouse, family member, fellow believer) to stay encouraged and be an encouragement along the way.
