Early Twentieth Century Peddler Man with Baskets Figure/Humidor, Made in Austria

Is it a figure or a humidor? I don't know. This two-piece figure (I'll call it a figure) depicts a man with curly red hair carrying two baskets - one on his right arm and the other over his left shoulder. Maybe the basket on his back is designed to hold cigars and the smaller basket over his arm is designed to hold wooden matches. This item is in near mint condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or other damage. There's some light dirt in several spots. I don't know much about this piece, but here's what I do know. My grandmother acquired it sometime in the 1910s and it was displayed in her living room until she died in 1990, when I inherited it. No manufacturer is identified anywhere, and the only marking is the word Austria stamped in red ink on the underside of the lower half. This figure is about 8 wide at the elbows and about 10.25 tall. The surface is glazed. After more than a century, it's time for this figure to have a new home.
