An antique clear glass lidded compote by Central Glass in the pattern numbered '796' and named 'Rope & Thumbprint', circa late 19th century. The lid is married and not original to the piece.
Overall, good condition. Chip out of the base. Some flake chips on the interior. There is a significant scratch  which looks like a hairline - across the thumbprints of the base, detectable with a fingernail from the outside - NOT detectable from the inside. Exhibits signs of age such as surface wear and weathering. As they are part of the description, please enlarge all photographs to better ascertain details and condition.
