Gorgeous Pewter teapot I purchased from a retired couple. The wife told me it hails from the early 1800's, though I haven't had the best luck finding any specifics regarding this piece.
Imprint on the bottom reads:
M F D & Plated By Reed & Barton
A more recent stamp is above this, reading:
1947/ Reed & Barton/ 6
On the front of the teapot is a decorative R (please see picture).
