Gorgeous strapless dress circa the 50's. I believe it was custom-made possibly for a prom! The lining is in a beautiful iridescent teal taffeta and overlaid in Chantilly lace.
There's no tag anyway or size indicated—though with modern day sizing it wouldn't be very accurate anyway. I tried it on and I'd say it's approximately a US 8, which is rare since many dresses around this time were teeny tiny. Please double check measurements below.
It's in amazing condition considering it's around 70 years old! I actually don't really have any condition notes or flaws to mention. Might be a couple loose threads, but nothing major. Zipper still works, and the bodice still feels great. The dress itself is quite heavy because of the materials for the time. The lace could probably use a more pressing.
