Mizusawa Down, crafted by the sports manufacturer Descente. Down has the weakness of losing its insulation when the feathers inside get wet. However, Mizusawa Down overcomes this by using heat-sealing to eliminate the stitching between the boxes containing the feathers, achieving exceptional water resistance.
Currently, Mizusawa Down offers various types besides the Mountaineer, including Anchor, Shuttle, and Storm. The Mountaineer, which we will introduce here, is a popular model known for its high-performance design that prioritizes comfort and functionality.
The Mountaineer boasts excellent water resistance, 4-way stretch fabric, temperature and moisture regulation through ventilation, and the Parahood system, which allows you to deploy an inner zipper to create a hood when needed. When not worn, the hood's recess prevents rain and snow from accumulating. It's truly a down jacket designed for extreme cold and harsh weather, offering exceptional comfort.
