You're bidding on a RARE set of 1939 New York Worlds Fair Roberta Lerber Exhiibted Pottery Vase Set. Each measures 4.5 x 8 and was part of NY City's artist exhibit during the 1939 WF. The auction comes with a hand written note found inside one of the pottery vases detailing the purchase of the vases and history tying them to the 1939 NY World's Fair. One vase has a fleabite rim chip. All else looks good.
Roberta Leber McVeigh (1909-1983) Pottery Vase, New York, mid-20th century. Her pottery has been exhibited around the world and sold by legendary auction houses such as Skinners.

McVeigh was a ceramics scholar at Alfred University. She later taught art at Henry Street Settlement, the Crafts Students League in New York, and the Rockland Center for the Arts.
