This is a set of numbered pewter flutes by Seagull Pewter featuring the Warner Brothers characters of Marvin the Martian and Mrs Martian. Both are numbered #321/1000 and dated 1997.
Marvin the Martian first appeared in the 1948 Bugs Bunny cartoon Haredevil Hare. He went on to appear in 4 more cartoons produced between 1952 and 1963. He is one of the main antagonists and archenemies of Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. Marvin is known for trying to destroy Earth with his Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator . Marvin's reasoning for destroying Earth is that it blocks his view of Venus. His most well known line: “Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an Earth-shattering kaboom!
Marvin added a lovely bride to aid in his space crusading endeavors. She did not have a name other than Mrs. Martian.
These flutes are in excellent condition. There are no chips or scratches or cloudiness. They look new. They each measure 8 7/8” high and 2” at the mouth. I do not have the box.
