Noritake made in Japan Castella design rare butter dish 2 pieces excellent condition Mark: M for Morimura in a wreath, crowned by NORITAKE and below, Made in Japan . The use of the M gives a date before 1953 when the long used M in a wreath was replaced with a N for Noritake. This dates this dish before 1953 after 1923 I cannot find another example of this type of Dish. Now made as a covered dish. Not good for microwave because of gold trim
