Hello, here is a super nice and 100% natural petrified wood fossil with VERY well defined BARK from the old Ernest Shirley collection out of Hanksville Utah! It was found in the Colorado Plateau, Morrison Formation on the high desert, Southeast Utah!
This rock was a fallen tree that lived in the Triassic era a CRAZY! 225 million years ago!
The fossil measures around 5 7/16 or 13.8cm at its biggest.
