irst Special Run of the year is Maddox, a breathtaking Akhal-Teke stallion.
Native to what is now known as Turkmenistan, these desert-bred horses have an exotic appearance and are known for their athleticism and endurance - they were originally bred as cavalry horses for raids. Today those talents lend themselves well to modern day horse trials such as show jumping and cross-country.
Akhal-Tekes can be found in a variety of colors.
