Up for your consideration is this handmade crochet blanket, just finished by me.
I have used 2 shades of variegated blue yarn, light blue, dusty blue, beige and white yarn to create this awesome blanket. Caron One pounder yarn/ Red Heart Super Saver yarn used is thick and warm!!
The base is a ripple crochet pattern, made with worsted weight yarn, and on it, I have hand-sewed the 6 turtle appliques, heading from the sand into the sea - so, so cute :)

The appliques are sewn on by hand, so yes, the threads are visible on the back.
The color is a nice unisex combo, perfect for boys or girls !
Nice dense pattern- perfect for going outdoors in Spring or using in the winter.
Can also be used as a rug to lay baby on!
