Herend Rothschild Bird Borders Brown Fish Scales Chop Plate with Handles
The original pattern was created in 1860 to honor the Rothschild family of Europe. Three borders to the original pattern, Blue, Green, and Brown, were added to enhance its beauty and elegance even more. The pattern has twelve different motifs that are applied on place, setting pieces and service pieces in a most attractive and symmetrical manner. Each image hand painted by most experienced painters, has one item common; a lost necklace, as the legend goes, of Baroness Rothschild, that was picked up by the birds and were playing with it in a tree.
