A RARE FIND!
Nice antique original State of Ohio Search Warrant For Seizure of Intoxicating Liquors
Dual-sided blank form with line items for completion by the Justice of the Peace
The state of Ohio was particularly significant to the political causes of Temperance and Prohibition in early American history. Supporters of these political movements were successful is in getting passed many pieces of anti-liquor legislation in the state. This form identifies the Woods Search and Seizure Law enacted in 1906 as its legal basis, which instructed the appropriate judicial officer to issue a search warrant upon the sworn complaint of any individual who has reason to believe and does believe that liquor laws were being violated at a given location .
