Unique, vintage two sided, 3 mirror compact with a Jessie Wilcox Smith print reproduction of “ Noah’s Ark” on both sides. One side of the compact splits with two separate square mirrors while the opposite side has one long rectangular mirror. Each mirror has a different magnification level.
“Jessie Willcox Smith (September 6, 1863 – May 3, 1935) was an American illustrator during the Golden Age of American illustration. She was considered one of the greatest pure illustrators .
Internet research didn’t provide any history for this item. I believe it was sold at a museum that houses the original painting in the gift shop.
Measures approximately 4.5” long x 2.25” wide
Two locks, heavy, possibly brass. Some patina in the metal, the mirrors inside - large mirror in good condition. Two side mirrors - top mirror has clouding around the edges, bottom mirror has only a quarter size clear center area. Snaps closed.
