Tokanabe Blackware antique wall pocket. Tokanabe blackware is created through a mold-press process. Made in Japan for U.S. market in the 1920s and 1930s. It was distributed by the Sears Company in their catalogs between 1929-1930. Beautiful red poppy floral design with great surface textures. Art Nouveau and Art Deco in style which reflect the time period when made.
