This is oa vintage 1979 press kit for Jefferson Starship’s Freedom At Point Zero album. The press kit is in an RCA Records / Grunt Records binder; inside is a 2-page information write-up on the new album, a 5-page band history in chronological order, and a copy of the 5/23/79 San Francisco Examiner press release article.

Freedom at Point Zero is the fifth album by American rock band Jefferson Starship, released in 1979. It was the first album for new lead singer Mickey Thomas, and the first after both Grace Slick and Marty Balin left the previous year (Slick rejoined the band for their next album Modern Times in 1981 and Balin joined the revived Jefferson Starship in 1993). Aynsley Dunbar plays drums on this album; he had left Journey the previous year. The album cover was shot on location in the San Francisco Bay on board the USCGC Midgett. The band’s lineup included:

Mickey Thomas – lead (tracks 1, 3-9) and backing vocals
Paul Kantner – lead (tracks 2, 9) and backing vocals,
