Well preserved set of 2 porcelain ginger jars. Hand painted images are mirrored images of each other. Believed to be of the Chinese late Qing Dynasty with a Kangxi mark on the bottom of each jar. Both lids have been repaired, but no damage is observed to the jars themselves. Jars without the lids measure approximately 4 inches high, 4 inches in diameter at the widest part and 2.5 inches in diameter at the base. Pictures may look like paint is chipped, but it was the light reflecting off of the jars. Paint is in perfect condition. Glaze does not appear to be worn. Internet research found the statement All four character Kangxi marks without borders are from and around the Guangxu (1875-1908) period when four character kaishu marks were widely used.
